  • DAY 1: ANTANANARIVO - ANDASIBE

    Tongasoa!(Welcome) Our team will be happy to pick you up at the airport with a sign panel and a warm welcome. Feel free to taste our local sweetness (100% Malagasy product) while enjoying the landscape along the road. Just a few Km from the airport, you will be able to enjoy a very particular landscape, the beautiful rice fields in the bottom of the valleys, little houses that cover the hills, the little shops one right next to the other almost all along the road and on top of the highest mountain in the city: the Queen Palace. After crossing the city, we join the national road number 2 to reach the small town of Andasibe (located around 150km east from the capital city). Thanks to its humid climate it's one of the richest places in terms of biodiversity in Madagascar. The road from Tana to Andasibe is a taste of Madagascar'Highland's landascape: rice terraces and rustic villages of houses made of red mud. On arrival, installation at your hotel and be ready for the night visit to spot the Microcebus lemur active at night.

    DAY 2: ANDASIBE – ANTANANARIVO

    After breakfast, you will visit the Analamazaotra National Park. The real draw of this reserve is the rare Indri indri, Madagascar's largest lemurs. It’s a reserve with a humid climate sheltering several species of chameleons, lemurs, birds, orchids, pandanus, medicinal plants, most of which are endemic. After lunch, you will discover the private reserve of Vakona, where a short canoe crossing will take you to the lemur’s island. There you’ll have the opportunity to get very close to these friendly hosts of the island, share a moment with them and probably take some great pictures. After the visit, we’ll take the road back to Antananarivo. Diner at the hotel, you will see the thousands lights of the city. Take a good rest after enjoying your first night in the capital.

  • Day 3: ANTANANARIVO - MORONDAVA

    (01:20 pm - 02:20 pm)

    You will have a city tour in the morning, Antananarivo, as the largest city of the island has several places to discover. The Queen’s Palace is one the most famous places to discover here, as being the symbol of the city, it is situated on the highest point and offers an incredible view that overlooks a big part of the city.

    Transfer to the airport and flight to Morondava. Once there, go straight to the Kirindy reserve, follow the dusty track through some baobab trees and the deciduous dry forest of the west coast. You will notice some typical villages along the road and see how people adapt to live in this dry and warm area. Kirindy forest is known as the best spot the see the “Fosa”, the biggest carnivore of the island, looks a bit like a small puma. The nocturnal visit starts at 6:30PM. There are 6 species of nocturnal lemurs and you can get to see from the largest called Lepilemur to the smallest called Berthe’s mouse lemur that weighs about 30g, you can also find chameleons and the giant jumping rat called “Vositsy”. After the night walk, you’ll be taken to the hotel for diner and take a good rest to be ready for the next day.

    Day 4: KIRINDY - BEKOPAKA

    After breakfast, we will drive you to the famous Tsingy of Bemaraha. Enjoy the adventure through the dusty and bumpy road of the west coast. After a few hour drives, you arrive at “Tsimafana” where you will cross the Tsiribihina River by a local Ferry to reach “Belo sur Tsiribihina”, the last village before Bekopaka, you’ll have a break for lunch before the second ferry transfer for Bekopaka. After all these transfers, you’ll arrive at your hotel in Bekopaka, enjoy the peaceful music of the nature and have a good rest!

  • Day 5: BEKOPAKA

    Enjoy your breakfast time in the middle of nature then drive to the Manambolo River; get a ride with the traditional canoe called “Lakana”. You will enjoy the nice landscape here with the whistle of the birds. You will explore limestone caves in the banks of the Manambolo River. The river bank is full of caves, many of which used to be inhabited, but now the locals prefer to live in the nearby plains.

    You will visit the Big Tsingy. This amazing mineral forest stands on the western coast of the island, Tsingy is the Malagasy word for “walking on tiptoes” and the nearly impenetrable labyrinth of limestone needles justifies this name. World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1990. A walk in this reserve it’s an opportunity to discover an unique biodiversity, you will be impressed by the number of lemurs that live there, a visit that will give you some adventure but at the same time will make you discover a very particular part of Madagascar. Enjoy the beauty of the most famous reserve on the island.

    DAY 6: BEKOPAKA - MORONDAVA

    After breakfast, it’s time to go back to Morondava by the same way you took to come here. On the way we will stop at the final spot, the Baobab Avenue. You will fall in love with this magic place; it is probably the best spot to watch the sunset in the world. Enjoy taking pictures among these giant trees. At the sunset, the color of the sky with the baobab trees offers a magical show that you will still remember for life.

  • DAY 7: MORONDAVA - ANTANANARIVO

    (01:55 pm - 02:55 pm)

    In the morning, go for a pirogue ride through the mangrove to reach the fishermen’s village called Betania, you will see their daily life and discover their local boat manufacturing. The pirogue will drive you back to Morondava for lunch; enjoy the seafood here, so fresh and inexpensive. After lunch, we will drive you to the airport to go back to Antananarivo.

    After landing in Antananarivo, our team will pick you up at the airport and drive you to the hotel.

    DAY 8: ANTANANARIVO - OUT

    Before dropping you off at the airport, we will go to the craft market where you can buy some souvenirs from the island. There are a lot of great Malagasy products, so take your time to choose. After lunch we will drive you to the airport and wish you a safe trip.
